Hi Y’all!
Confession time. I LOVE puzzles. While I appreciate any type of puzzle-like experience, jigsaw puzzles are by far my favorite. I’ve been doing them since I was a kid and it’s become a bit of an obsession! The more pieces the better, which leads to my most recent puzzling endeavor.
Have you seen the giant Ravensburger puzzles? The ones with over 40,000 pieces? Specifically the Disney one?!!? Yeah… I wanted one of those the minute I found out they existed, which happened to be when you couldn’t find them in stock anywhere. So I watched, and I waited, and I scoured the internet, all while trying to justify spending copious amounts of money on a puzzle. After years, no joke, I finally got my hands on one in March of 2023 (all thanks to my husband and his incredible Ebay bidding skills). And let me tell you, it is a beauty!
This puzzle is bagged by movie scene in ten individual sections. I started with Snow White on April 8th of 2023 and made pretty good time, finishing it on the 10th of May!
Next up was the Fantasia scene. This one was a bear… I started this scene on May 11th of 2023 and didn’t complete it until January 29th of 2024. I took about two months where I didn’t even touch it cause I was so frustrated with it. With the majority of the puzzle being background it was really hard to stay motivated! My daughter is obviously way less impressed than I was about the completion of this one.
I’m currently working on the Dumbo scene that I started on January 29th and am making progress! This puzzle has been so challenging but I am loving every minute of it and can’t wait to see the finished product.
